DC Special was an oversize series offering up a range of reprints based around a particular theme. Sometimes it would focus on the work of a particular artist (Carmine Infantino in #1, Joe Kubert in #5), but more often choice tales from a particular character or genre would be presented. This ad is for the second issue, which featured a variety of teenage would-be Archies from DC’s library. Binky, Kenny, Judy, Buzzy and Melvin are just some of the names, some more well-known than others. Bob Oksner provided the new cover and had some of his strips reprinted inside. Mort Drucker — probably best known for his work for MAD magazine — also appears.
