Here we go, just to keep Seth happy — the Heroes for Hire ad by Bill Sienkiewicz. I don’t recall who was actually drawing that book at the time, though I’m pretty sure it wasn’t big Bill. It’s a pretty nifty piece: note the head has no holding lines (the sort of thing David Lloyd was doing on V for Vendetta), and that hand shows more than a trace of Sienkiewicz’s old Neal Adams influence.

Just a year or two after this Sienkiewicz was providing beautiful–bizarre!–fully painted art for the Elektra: Assassin mini-series, a Daredevil graphic novel, and the oh-so-strange Stray Toasters.
