Young Romance #159, May 1969

A rather angst ridden scene adorns this issue of DC’s premier romance comic. But, y’know, you needn’t be too concerned: as is the way with these things, the nasty seeming chap actually has pretty solid reasons for feeling the way he does, and, by story’s end our girl has melted his heart. Cue tear-streaked cheeks.

Not entirely sure what that flowery Hawaiian shirt-like thing the heroine is lugging around there, but, hey, perhaps it is a Hawaiian shirt. Or a paddling pool.

Not sure of the artist, though part of me wants to say J Scott Pike…
