A multi-item ad of the kind that captures the imagination of the child reader. Mind you reading this it does sort of look as though someone is asking whether anyone could believe that DC could produce two “exciting grabbers” to hold the reader spellbound. Well, of course they could — they did that sort of thing with alarming regularity.

I don’t have the issue, but that Batman cover looks rather dramatic. And that’s a nice Neal Adams cover to the JLA ish.

Back in those days, the ads were almost as much fun as the comics themselves. They were also pored over in as minute detail, especially when there was no guarantee of finding the titles concerned. Kids today, etc…
